EYELINER AFTERCARE
No water for a minimum of 7 days
No makeup on the procedure area until healing is complete
No working out or engaging in activities that cause sweating
No picking, peeling or scratching the pigment
No sun exposure
Do not let face get wet in the shower
Wash face at the sink and avoid eyes – makeup wipes are easiest
Immediately after the procedure:
Do not touch the eyes. Do not wash the eyes – try to keep them dry.
Night of procedure: You may apply ice over a clean cloth. Do not directly ice the skin.
Day 2: Eyes will be puffy. Some clients will swell more than others. The swelling will reduce by the end of Day 2.
Day 3 – 7: If the skin is feeling dry, you may apply a VERY SHEER layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment with clean fingers. Do not apply in excess to avoid adverse reactions.
Peeling may begin a few days after receiving your permanent eyeliner. Some guests do not peel. This process can last up to a week or longer. Do not use any products other than Aquaphor Healing Ointment (or Grapeseed Oil if allergic to petroleum). Do not pick pigment out of lashes, let it work itself out naturally.
A touch up is required within 6 – 8 weeks.
BROW AFTERCARE
- No water for a minimum of 2 weeks
No makeup on the procedure area until healing is complete
No working out or engaging in activities that cause sweating
No picking, peeling or scratching the pigment
No sun exposure
Do not let face get wet in the shower
Wash face at the sink and avoid eyebrows – makeup wipes are easiest
Immediately after the procedure:
Blot brows with tissue (medium pressure) for the first 3 hours to absorb any lymph fluid that may surface.
Night of procedure: Before bed, gently wash brows with antibacterial dial soap and water. Blot dry with a clean tissue.
Day 2 – 14: Gently wash brows every morning with antibacterial soap and water. Blot dry with clean paper towels or a clean hand towel. Let air dry for 2 minutes and apply a VERY SHEER layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Once a day is sufficient. Peeling may begin a few days after receiving your permanent makeup. Some guests do not peel. This process can last up to 14 days or longer. Once the peeling stage has finished, expect your brows to look exceptionally light. The pigment will darken as the skin continues to exfoliate (roughly another month). You may resume normal activity and makeup application once the last flake has come off naturally. Continued moisture is required on healed brows. Use sunscreen to protect your permanent makeup from fading.
Pro Tip: Swipe over your brows with a damp q-tip after applying foundation/concealers/bronzers to remove any makeup that may cloud the appearance of your new tattoo once healing is complete.
A touch-up is required within 8-12 weeks.
